TED talksの英語。
TED とはTechnology, Entertainment, Designの略であり、TED conferenceと呼ばれる講演会が"Idea worth spreading"(広める価値のあるアイディア)というスローガンのもとに行われ、様々な分野で活躍する人々がスピーカーとして登壇する。これらの公演はインターネット上に動画として残されている。TEDで使われる英語は、やはりプレゼンテーションということもあり、少し堅めでアカデミックな表現が多いものもある。なので日常英語を学ぶというよりはこういった場面の聞き取りの練習に向いている。ほとんどのトークには字幕やScript(原稿)がつけられていて、映像とともにウェブサイトで見ることができる。TED: Ideas worth spreading

The 20 Most-Watched TEDTalks - YouTubeのplaylistで使われている英語をまとめた。これらの映像は2010年以前の少し古いトークなのであたらしい動画を確認してみて下さい。
定型文と表現
